The Week 5 “Thursday Night Football”, matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos was a nightmare for fans of offense. Although the Colts won in overtime 12-9, it was a close win for them. However, the numbers don’t lie for both of their quarterbacks.
KJ Hamler, Broncos wide receiver, was open to a possible game-winning touchdown pass in overtime. Fans and analysts alike lambasted Russell Wilson, Broncos big money quarterback.
Kyle Brandt, “Good Morning America,” even suggested Friday morning that the relationship between former Seattle Seahawks legends and his new employer was at risk of going “off the rails.”

Wilson’s former teammate Richard Sherman, who was in Denver to watch the game as an analyst for Amazon Prime “Thursday Night Football”, took to Twitter during the final stages of the contest and right afterward. Sherman felt a sense de déjà vu after seeing the similarities between Wilson’s famous interception at Super Bowl XLIX.
Social media users shared some fun video edits of Wilson by football fans to share their opinions on the performance.
In Week 6, the Broncos will be looking to get back on track when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers at 8.15 p.m. ET on October 17.

Russell Wilson, Broncos’ QB, accepts the blame: “I have to do better.”
Russell Wilson, the Denver Broncos’ quarterback, played his worst game so far this season. He threw two interceptions during a 12-9 home loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Wilson’s second interception came at a crucial moment in the game. It was late in the fourth quarter, when the Broncos seemed to be close to winning. In overtime Wilson mishandled a wide-open KJ Hammer and forced Courtland Sutton to take the ball on fourth down. Denver lost because that pass was incomplete.
Wilson took responsibility for the loss after the game.
It’s easy. Wilson stated that at the end of it all, I must be better. Wilson stated, “I must play better. This defense, this team played hard tonight. … Throwing two interceptions is impossible. Can’t happen. “I let the team down tonight.”
Wilson remains optimistic about the team’s future despite the disappointing performance and loss.
“The best thing about me is that I know one thing about myself: I’m going. I don’t know how to do it any other way. I believe in myself. This team is what I believe in. I believe in the potential of this team. “I believe in what I can accomplish.”
Wilson completed 21 of 39 passes on Thursday, gaining 274 yards and two touchdowns. He also had four sacks. Through five games, Wilson has completed 59.4% (for 1,254 yards) of his passes with four touchdowns as well as three interceptions. This is unacceptable for a QB who just signed a huge contract extension.
Wilson must be more efficient. The whole offense must be improved.
The QB stated that “We are all still together focused and trying to do whatever is necessary.” “It all starts with me and I’ll make it my priority to do so.”

Wilson was brought in to capture moments like this, and was rewarded with a $245million extension before taking his first shot in Denver. However, Wilson failed to deliver in Thursday’s 12-9 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts.
Wilson said that he let the team down and threw two interceptions. One of them set up Indy’s game-tying field goal, which was scored with five seconds remaining in regulation. “When you play this match, the only thing you will know is that you will face adversity.”
Wilson and his offense failed to find the end zone, let alone stay on the field. This is a common theme for the Broncos (2-3), which average just 15 points per game.
Wilson, who moved to Denver from Seattle after spending a decade there, said, “At the bottom of the day I’ve got to do better.” “I have to play better. There were some great drives. We were able to move the ball into the red zone, but we didn’t capitalize on others. We can capitalize on some plays.
